Hey gang,
I received a message from Jim, who has proposed, what I consider to be, an offer we can't refuse.
Jim is going to build another table; a 3'x7" poker table, similar to his black table and Marcel's table. He has all the materials now except for the folding legs and felt. The cost to buy the legs and felt will be $120.
So, what he is asking is if all the members are willing to chip in to cover the $120? The table would be the property of all the MPC members who bought in on the ownership. This means that anyone can use the table for their home game at any time, they would simply need to reserve it and pick it up.
Since Jim lives downtown Moncton, he would stock the table at his place. If any player decides to quit MPC, he would refund their share.
So, he's basically donating all the lumber and labor, and all we have to do is divide the $120 by the 23 players; which is only $5.25 each. Having an extra table at our disposal will allow people to host games who could otherwise not host.
I honestly don't see any reason to not do this.
Does anybody have any objections? If I don't hear from you, I'll assume you DON'T have any objections and are willing to throw in the $5.25 for the table.
I'll let everybody know by this Friday if anybody has objected to this idea.
Cheers
Dave
