Dearest Charlebois,
Over the duration of season VII, some people expressed an interest in increasing the maximum buy-in for a greater payout.
I posted an "unofficial" poll on the website asking if anybody would like to see changes in the point season buy-ins, and it seemed as though the majority would be cool if it went up a bit... however, I would like to take this opportunity to have an offiical vote.
Here are your choices:
1. Leave the maximum buy-in the same ($20).
2. Increase maximum buy-ins to $30.
3. Increase maximum buy-ins to $40.
It's important to note that not every game will necessarily be a maximum buy-in. The game's buy-in will be determined by the host.
In addition, this prompts a second decision. If the buy-in increases, it would be weird to play each regular season game for potentially $660-$880 and only play the Big Pot game for $1000 or so. So, perhaps if we increase the maximum buy-in, it may be a good idea to increase the game fee to increase the Big Pot prizes as well (or maybe you don't want to increase the maximum buy-in and just increase the fee...) Here are your choices:
1. Leave the fee the same ($2).
2. Increase fee to $3.
3. Increase fee to $5.
Just send me back and e-mail with your decisions. If I don't hear from you, I would assume you would like to keep both the maximum buy-in and game fee the same.
I'll keep the "voting" open until Friday at noon. I'll send out an e-mail Friday afternoon with the results.
With all my love,
Gertrude

To my dearest Gertrude,
As promised, here are the results of the poll we had this week. The outcome is kind of what I thought was going to happen.
We ended up with 10 people putting their votes in, and this is how it went down:
Buy-Ins:
$20: 3
$30: 7
$40: 0
No Vote: 15
Game Fees:
$2: 4
$3: 1
$5: 5
No Vote: 15
As mentioned, a no vote would be considered a vote for things to remain the same (Buy-In: $20 – Game Fee: $2). Therefore, the Moncton Poker Club will clearly keep things the same as they have been. I will reopen the voting next season if I see interest in increasing the buy-ins again.
With all the love I possess,
Charlebois
