Ok kids. Gather 'round. In today's class, we're going to talk about Betfair.com.
Who is Betfair?
The Betfair group of companies offers a global portfolio of gambling products and services. This includes the world's leading betting exchange. Separately Betfair's established gaming products include Betfair Poker (which is the portion which most interests the Moncton Poker Club), Betfair Casino and a number of exchange-enabled games.
How does this apply to the Moncton Poker Club? ...and more specifically, its players?
I have been speaking with Robert Mutak, the Canada manager for Betfair, and he has agreed to sponsor the Moncton Poker Club in form of poker merchandise. He has already sent a package which included 2 golf shirts, 2 fleece jackets, and 5 hats.
He also agreed to send a second package which will include even more merchandise! With that said, I am currently working with Betfair.com in efforts to work out a partnership with them and MonctonPokerClub.com.
In this upcoming season, I would like to organize some online tournaments with Moncton Poker Club players hosted on Betfair.com. Some small buy-in tournaments ($10-$20) and it's a tournament that we could play in a few hours. They have an amazing rakeback program and have obviously shown to be a top notch company by inveseting so heavily in our group.
We are still working out all the details, so I will post an article at a later date with additional information.
