Travis, Travis, and more Travis!

by Dave Robichaud • April 1, 2006

Post your comments on Friday night's points game here!

I don't have much to say about the game... except "Travis, looks like you found your horseshoe again!"

I've never seen anybody have as many pocket pairs as this guy... and as many river wins! It's like he has XRay vision and could see the cards and knew he was going to hit!

So which one knocked out Marcel? Julie or Christine? I didn't see a bounty collected by any points players...

Julie... I don't exactly remember the scenario.

I forget who Marcel was heads-up with before his last hand, but it really should have been that person to take him out. I'm pretty sure it was Jay.

I think the scenario was something like AK for Jay, and QQ for Marcel. The flop comes a K. Just for good measure, Christine mentions that she mucked a Q... Marcel pulled out a 2% probability of hitting his last Q on the river.

But that's poker... I'm getting pretty sick and tired of saying it, but that's poker.

Julie knocked out Marcel with what i believe to be the following scenario.

Marcel pushes all in with A(6 i think) Julie pushes all in with A(10 i think) Christine folds QQ! and Ron calls with A(9 i think) If I remember correctly the flop gave a pair to marcel (6's) and Julie (10's) Julie's 10's hold up to the river. Please feel free to correct me on any of this information.

Yup! That's exactly what happened.

A few hands before that, Marcel went all in with pocket 6's and I called him with AK of clubs. I got a king on the flop and then an ace on the turn. Whoo-Hoo!...
And then a 6 came up on the river. Boo!!!!
Luckily I had more chips so I could stay in the game.

Thanks for keeping my chips warm Marcel! Smile

Ah yes... I remmeber now.
It was actually:
Julie: AT
Marcel: A7 (the only correction)
Ron: A9
Me: A8 (but I folded)
Christine: QQ

I still don't understand why somebody would fold Qs!!

All I can say is thank god for the 2 lucky split pots or I would have been toast ... I'm living proof that shitty poker players can win too !!
