Pocket 7s.... AQ suited in the hole. These things seem fairly harmless and appear to be an every day hand, right? OH, YOU COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!!!
Ok seriously - who cares who finished in what position? All I know is, I was part of what has to be the craziest night of hands we've had to date!
Ok... Ron pulls pocket 7s in the hole. Not a HUGE starting hand - but good nonetheless. But wait a minute, what's that on the flop? 7, 7, x??????? Flopped Quads??????
Congrats Ron! You're in the very few percentile that can actually say you've flopped Quads.
Just to put it in perspective, the chances of drawing a pocket pair is 5.90%. When having a pocket pair, the chances of flopping quads are 0.20%. This means you can expect to do it again in 8475 hands. (or 0.0118%)
Ok... on to the most insane thing I've ever seen.
Blinds are 150/300. Everybody folds to the dealer, Carole, who calls. Small blind, Dave, calls and big blind, Todd, raises 300. Carole thinks for a second and pushes all in. Dave folds, and Todd ponders, shows everybody his and finally decides to call.... Carole flips over .
The odds of this hand being a split pot are 85.69%, the balance is split betwen the two of them (7.16% to win) if they obviously hit their flush - but highly unlikely.
On to the flop:
Not only is Carole now on a flush draw... but she is on a ROYAL FLUSH draw.
Turn... !!!!!!!
AMAZING! AQ vs AQ - and Carole hits a Royal Flush on the turn! (Sorry Todd )
What an amazing hand to witness. Congrats Carole for the ONLY Royal Flush I've ever seen!
So... we continued playing from there, Carole just doubled up... Todd took a pretty big hit... bla bla bla Zzzzzzzzzzz ROYAL FLUSH!!! |
