We are excited to announced our first ever MPC team heads-up poker game on November 14th.
The format may sound confusing but we’ve incorporated what is currently being used at the WSOP Europe, the Caesar’s Cup.
Teams of two will play heads up vs. another team. Each street (preflop, flop, turn and river) teammates will pass their cards to each other while using their "team" chips. Only one person per team plays the street while the teammate watches, once it is their turn, the 2 cards are passed to their teammate; they control the hand and can decide how they want to play the hand from that point on. The team may NOT discuss the hand during play.
At this point we are thinking of at least 4 teams (2 players per team) and you are responsible for finding your teammate. We are flexible of having 6 teams and perhaps even 8 teams (can’t accommodate an odd number of teams). 4 team format will be a double knockout however if we go as high as 8 teams it would be a single knock out format.
Buy in is 10$ per player and payout will be 80% to the winning team and 20% to the 2nd place team (guaranteed to break if you are 2nd place). This will NOT be a point game, but should make for a lot of fun!
We will use standard MPC blinds and starting chip stacks of 1500$.
